We co-produce sessions with young people that cover instrument playing, songwriting, music recording, production & performing live.
Strike A Chord is an exciting new opportunity for young people aged between 12-19 years old living in Waveney. (Aged 20-21? Email us to see how we can still support you).
You’ll be able to create, produce and record your own music both individually, and as a group for our end of project album, and all music will be put on streaming services along with a professionally made music video.
We’ll also support you with building confidence and self-esteem to perform live, and how music benefits our mental health.
Throughout the project guitars, a drum kit, keyboards, percussion instruments and professional recording/performance equipment will be available.
A free instrument loan scheme to book instruments out will also be available towards the mid-term of the project.
We know that sometimes forms can be boring or take some time, so we’ve tried to make ours as simple as possible!
All though we now have a waiting list, please do join it so we can keep your contact details on file to notify you when any other opportunities become available.
Strike A Chord is raising money and awareness this Christmas for charity. Whilst sharing the important work the charity does to support other young people under 25 just like themselves with free mental health & wellbeing support in The Junction.
If you have any questions or need assistance please email:
We now have a waiting list, and will contact you when a place or opportunity becomes available.
Sessions will take place at The Junction, a brand new safe and welcoming space for young people in Lowestoft.
We hope that the project will also create opportunities for like minded individuals to share their passion with each other and make new friends.
The only requirement is that you are interested in making music whether that’s by singing or being able to play an instrument and live in Waveney (the choice of musical genre is entirely up to you).
Evening sessions will last 2-3 hours per week including both group work and 1 to 1 options running from Mid-May 2023 to March 2024.
All participants will be able to join our own record label, which will allow participants benefiting from the project to be picked up free of charge and have their music released publicly on streaming services, earn from music and also made available through your own artist page to be used on Instagram & TikTok etc.
